Boat Launches
Exchamsiks River
Located approximately 50km from Terrace, there is a boat launch feeding into the Exchamsiks River and ultimately the Skeena. Go past the entrance to the Exchamsiks Provincial Park, cross the bridge and turn right onto a short road leading to the launch area.
Exstew River
Approximately 40km from Terrace lies Exstew River. Here one can find a boat launch feeding into the backwaters of the Skeena River. After crossing the Exstew River Bridge, turn left onto a dirt road leading to the launch area directly beneath the bridge.
Fisherman’s Park
This Park was upgraded by a concerned group of local fishermen and businesses. Amenities include toilets, benches, picnic tables, landscaping and a new boat launch. It is located on the west end of Terrace, before the Kalum River Bridge. No overnight camping permitted.
Kitsumkalum Fisherman’s Park
Located on the west bank of Kalum River across from Fisherman’s Park, there is a large parking area suitable for overnight camping (for a fee) for self-contained campers. Please check with the Kitsumkalum Tempo Gas Bar across the road.
Mud Flats
Located west of Terrace, this sand bar is accessible directly from the highway. However, unless you have a 4x4 high clearance vehicle, it is not recommended that you drive onto the bar. Be aware of the tides changing as this access will be cut off with the rising tide.
